My inner designer
It was a pretty good weekend overall. Though I still feel sick and exhausted, I believe the antibiotics and codeine cough syrup are doing their job.
Deciding to take advantage of my sizzurp haze, I started working on my video intros, as well as finding better fonts to use in my tutorials and screencasts. Either undertaking could fill a weekend by itself.
There are plenty of canned royalty-free themes, music, and intros for Camtasia Studio online. Between the those on http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia-library-media.html and a few more from http://www.1forallsoftware.com/camtasia-intro-templates/free-camtasia-templates.htm, I will be able to hack something up that isn’t too flashy or skid.
Watching comic sans font title fly onto the screen and explode into confetti provides tons of fun but that’s not what I’m be going for in my online presence.
Only kidding o.O
Many hours were spent staring at royalty-free fonts from sites such ashttp://www.fontsquirrel.com/, http://webneel.com/webneel/blog/30-royalty-free-professional-fonts-designers-download-now, http://www.1001freefonts.com/, and my favorite http://www.dafont.com/. From those sites, I chose a few for future use so I don’t have to continue throwing up the Arial and Helvetica west coast gang signs.
The weekend also contained reading to familiarize myself with Citrix MDM and Citrix NetScaler. Though most of it was rereading the same pages.
Note to self: codeine cough medicine is great for creative exploration but not so good for comprehending and retaining information.
I’m predicting an early Monday with some hardcore reading.
I have a week to put together a working POC for Citrix MDM and prepare for a NetScaler DC install the following week. This is in addition to the regular day to day. So it should be a busy but fun next couple of weeks.
Everyone have a positive, productive week!
